About

About Sacramento Asbestos Removal

Asbestos testing and removal for Sacramento and the surrounding counties.

Who We Are

Sacramento Asbestos Removal tests for and removes asbestos-containing materials across Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado counties — acoustic ceilings, floor tile and mastic, pipe and duct insulation, vermiculite, siding and roofing, and the materials a building has to be cleared of before demolition.

Why Sacramento-Area Jobs Need Local Knowledge

The paperwork changes at every county line. Sacramento County runs its asbestos program through Sac Metro Air District’s Rule 902; Placer and El Dorado counties send building notices to U.S. EPA instead; and Yolo-Solano has its own rule and its own home exemption. Add more than 100,000 pre-1980 homes in the City of Sacramento alone, and naturally occurring asbestos in the ground around Folsom and El Dorado Hills, and the first job is always working out which rules apply.

How We Estimate

Lab results first, then a written estimate that sets out the materials, the amount, the containment, the disposal and any notices the job needs. If testing comes back negative, you hear that instead of being sold a removal.

What We Put in Writing

Scope, containment method and clean-up standard are set out on your estimate rather than advertised as a headline promise.

Ask Any Contractor for These

California requires asbestos abatement contractors to hold a C-22 Asbestos Abatement licence from the Contractors State License Board and to be registered with Cal/OSHA. Ask for both numbers and check them on the CSLB and Department of Industrial Relations websites before work starts. Ask, too, who will take the samples and file the air-district notice, and where the waste will go.

Get in Touch

Call (916) 884-5785 or send the form. Say what the material is — ceiling texture, floor tile, pipe wrap, attic insulation — roughly how much there is, the year the building went up, and send a photo if you can. Please don’t sample it yourself.

Written estimate

What did you find?

Don’t sand, scrape or sweep it. A quick description is enough to start.

  • Lab testing before any removal
  • A written scope: material, amount, containment
  • A straight answer if the result is negative
  • Air-district notices sorted out up front

Got it, thank you.

We will call to talk through the material and next steps. Until then, please leave it undisturbed. To talk sooner, call (916) 884-5785
